ITALIAN SUPER8 DAY 1
SUPER8 FILM FESTIVAL: no competitive screening of super8 short films.
CineForum meeting.
Tutte le mattine all alba (Every Morning at Dawn), by Carlo Grenzi, 10 minutes. A film about a family of fishers who has been involved in the trade for four generations.
Oltre l Indo (Beyond Indus), by Alessio Zerial, 15 minutes. Documentary film about the river in India and the «Silk Road» from a historical point of view.
Cine matica (Cine-Matic), by Maurizio Di Cintio, 15 minutes. Experimental short film encopassing fascination from cine literacy, recollections of family events from home footage and mechanics applied to film technology etc. A personal homage to cinema and the S/8 gauge.
Sulle ali del vento (On The Wings of Wind), by Antonio Giusti, 20 minutes. A documentary film on the fascination of sailplaning.
Fish Eye (Fish Eye), by Livio Colombo, 8 minutes. The plain is a place of appearances spreading from the drone of insects and from the sounds of a videogame. Do they lead us into escaping or into searching for reality?
Special event: Sul sellino Super 8 souvenir (S/8 Souvenir from The Saddle), by the Graziano Predielis Group, ca. 10 minutes. The film is a collective work witnessing all that sprung from the «Criticalmass» phenomenon in Milan, such as strikes, public demonstrations, celebrations etc., filmed mainly with the camera mounted on a bike s saddle.
Bring & Show: screenings of films taken in by «last minute filmmaker», featuring a group of filmmakers from the local filmmaking society of Trieste. Plus, if you want to have your flick showed to our audience, bring it in and we&Mac226;ll do our best to do so, pending availability of time. First come, first showed!!!
